At Dunrae Gardens, we believe that children learn best in a caring environment. Here, we know our students by name and every student matters.
We also believe that strong parental participation leads to better academic performance. There are numerous opportunities for parents to volunteer at the school. This further contributes to the nurturing culture, and makes Dunrae feel like a “second home” to our students.
Communication between parents and teachers is emphasized. Each student is given an agenda which travels to/from school daily. Teachers and parents use the agenda to communicate with each other as often as needed.
We teach the children to be respectful of themselves, their teachers, the staff and their peers. Dunrae Gardens has a zero tolerance for bullying, and has active an anti-bullying program in place. Our students wear distinctive navy and white uniforms with the Dunrae crest; they also wear a gym uniform.
